This conference will be held by Dad Central | Réseau Papa Canada, a network dedicated to providing resources to fathers and the people working with them.
It is part of the belief that paternal pesence counts in the early years. With this in mind, Dad Central | Réseau Papa Canada will bring together researchers and community stakeholders in Ottawa for three days to discuss different aspects of this issue.
Francine DeMontigny, professor of Nursing Science at the Université du Québec en Outaouais and Director of the Centre d’études et de recherche en intervention familiale (Centre for Studies and Research on Family Health Intervention), will take part in the pre-conference, Fathering in a New Land on February 27, and will give a workshop with Annie Devault professor of social work at the Université du Québec en Outaouais called Helping Men in distress.
