Bereavement
The Parents Orphelins [Orphan Parents] site was created in 2008. It was conceived by the Association québécoise des parents vivant un deuil perinatal, an organization formed by mothers who had faced this kind of bereavement. The site’s objectives are to provide information, support families affected by perinatal death, and present services that are available, both from parents and from practitioners. The site also strives to break the isolation that surrounds this kind of bereavement.
The site offers various services, such as virtual counselling, an Internet portal, coffee-chat sessions in the Montreal region, as well as several other activities. Their Pinterest page is a goldmine of bilingual resources, from songs to television shows, books, articles, Internet links, blogs, etc.
