Résumé/Abstract
After the birth of a child, all family members must go through an adaptation process. This nursing practice, common in Quebec, is shown to be of great assistance to parents. Maternity nurses, to better determine the specific parental needs of fathers, can use a short interview to identify the strengths and resources of each family member.
